[Remote] Account Executive, Azure (New York City)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sela is a global cloud partner dedicated to guiding clients in their cloud journey. They are seeking an Account Executive based in New York City to manage relationships with Microsoft's field teams and drive new business in cloud migration and modernization services.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle for cloud professional services engagements (migration, application modernization, DevOps, data, and AI/ML workloads) from prospecting through close
- Build and maintain deep relationships with Microsoft’s field sales teams (especially SMEC and Scaling AI) and partner managers at the NYC offices, acting as a trusted co-sell partner
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with startup and mid-market clients across cloud migration, modernization, and managed services
- Collaborate with Sela's architects and engineers to scope solutions, develop proposals, and support technical discovery
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, identifying expansion opportunities across new service lines
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting in CRM tools
- Represent Sela at Microsoft and cloud industry events in the NYC market
- Bring market and customer insights back to the team to help shape offerings and go-to-market strategy, particularly around AI and cloud-native workloads
Skills
- 5+ years of B2B technology sales experience, with at least 2 years selling cloud professional services or infrastructure solutions
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a consultative, solution-selling environment
- Primary experience and fluency with Microsoft Azure: you understand the platform, the ecosystem, and how to navigate the partner and field motion
- Strong ability to sell services engagements, not just products: you're comfortable scoping migrations, modernization projects, and technical solutions with customers and architects
- Genuine passion for technology; able to build credibility with vendor field teams, customer technical leaders, and our own engineering team
- Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills
- Based in New York City and available for regular on-site engagement at Microsoft offices
- Experience selling data, AI/ML, DevOps, or cloud-native modernization projects
- Existing relationships within the Microsoft NYC field or partner organization, especially SMEC and Scaling AI
- Familiarity with Microsoft co-sell motions and funding programs
- Exposure to GCP or AWS ecosystems as a secondary platform
- Background in professional services, systems integration, or consulting sales
- Azure certifications or Partner accreditations
