[Remote] Account Executive
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Monogram Foods is a leading food manufacturer specializing in delivering high-quality foods and snacks. The Account Executive role focuses on establishing and maintaining business relationships with grocery and dollar trade accounts, driving sales and profit opportunities through a consultative selling approach.
Responsibilities
- Development and Execute Business Plan – Oversee and create new business opportunities to enhance the Monogram profile within the regional grocery and dollar channels. Taking a data-driven approach, you will focus on void closures, white space opportunities, optimizing assortment, and upselling
- Leading Sales Efforts – Strive to exceed customer needs, requirements, and expectations resulting in fostering loyalty, increasing customer satisfaction, and driving growth while achieving sales and profit targets by managing the sales pipeline and maximizing the potential of each account
- Conduct Business Reviews and Provide Business Solutions – Conduct periodic business reviews with key internal and external customers. This will involve providing business solutions grounded in fact-based category management, including consumer insights, industry trends, market dynamics, demographic information, customer analysis, and competitive insights
- Customer Relationship Management – Use CRM to maintain accurate and frequent customer information and record all sales and call activity. Generate reports on Topline sales, gross margin, share of category, etc. to measure performance and identify trends
- Collaboration – Work with cross-functional team members towards common sales goals and drive continuous improvement in overall sales performance
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development, preferably in the food or consumer goods industry
- Proficient use of a computer, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote), and other related applications or software
- Demonstrated leadership and possesses the ability to develop interdepartmental relationships
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of associates and customers ranging from entry level to executive level positions
- Ability to work with multiple departments including but not limited to Cost Accounting, Operations, Procurement, R & D, Quality Assurance, and Information Technology, both internally and externally
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, often with competing deadlines
- Ability to prioritize projects and clearly communicate direction internally and externally
- Analyze and interpret data into actionable insights (i.e. Nielsen / IRI)
- Strong understanding of trade strategy, retail operation, and negotiation skills
- A flexible work schedule and the ability to travel up to 25% of the time, depending on customer need
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
- Occasionally lift and carry items moderate weight (approx. 25 pounds)
- Must adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
- May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by safety regulations
- Preferably located in the Eastern or Midwestern United States
- Private label experience is a plus
