R&D Consulting Principal
About the role As we continue to grow, Rancho BioSciences is seeking an experienced and dynamic R&D Consulting Principal to join our team. This role is critical in driving results across multiple projects, ensuring successful execution, strategic alignment, and effective team collaboration. The R&D Consulting Principal will oversee and drive engagements in data-related and technology-driven projects while maintaining strong client engagement and operational efficiency. What you'll do Manage and lead consulting projects focused on establishing data strategies, optimizing R&D processes, and accelerating time-to-market for life sciences clients Lead cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights, operational improvements, and digital transformation strategies within R&D functions Collaborate with senior client stakeholders to identify pain points, develop solutions, and implement industry best practices in drug discovery and clinical trials Drive project execution, ensuring milestones, budgets, and deliverables are met while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction Lead and facilitate interviews and workshops with key stakeholders, focusing on data-driven decision-making, analytics strategy, and technology adoption in R&D Create high quality presentations, reports, and financial models to support client engagements Support business development efforts, including proposal writing, client discussions, and identifying new consulting opportunities
Qualifications
Required 5+ years of experience in management consulting with a focus on Life Sciences R&D, working with pharmaceutical or biotech companies Experience leading consulting engagements and managing cross-functional teams in a client-facing environment, ensuring successful project execution Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, develop strategic recommendations, and drive implementation Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with senior executives, facilitate workshops, conduct interviews, and create /deliver compelling presentations Experience in defining epics, features, and user stories to support digital transformation initiatives, technology implementations, and process improvements in Life Sciences R&D Nice to Have 5+ years of experience in management consulting with a focus on Life Sciences R&D, working with pharmaceutical or biotech companies Experience leading consulting engagements and managing cross-functional teams in a client-facing environment, ensuring successful project execution Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, develop strategic recommendations, and drive implementation Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with senior executives, facilitate workshops, conduct interviews, and create /deliver compelling presentations Experience in defining epics, features, and user stories to support digital transformation initiatives, technology implementations, and process improvements in Life Sciences R&D
