Python Developer - Azure
NTT DATA's Client is seeking a Python Developer with strong experience in designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based applications on Microsoft Azure. The resource should have hands-on experience in Python development, API development, data processing, cloud integrations, and working with Azure services in an enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications, services, and APIs.
- Build and deploy scalable solutions using Azure cloud services.
- Develop REST APIs and backend services using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask.
- Knowledge of messaging queues such as KAFKA
- Work with Azure services such as Azure Functions, App Service, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Azure Data Factory.
- Integrate applications with external systems, databases, APIs, and cloud services.
- Develop data ingestion, transformation, and processing pipelines using Python and Azure services.
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes or Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Implement authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, and error handling.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, data engineers, QA teams, and client stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and support deployment activities.
- Follow coding standards, security best practices, and cloud governance guidelines.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience in Python programming.
- Experience with REST API development using FastAPI, Flask
- Working knowledge of Azure cloud services.
- Experience with App Services, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, and Key Vault.
- Good understanding of cloud-native application design and microservices architecture.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Ability to write clean, reusable, well-documented, and testable code.
- Understanding of authentication mechanisms such as Entra ID, OAuth, JWT, managed identities, and service principals.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-204
Experience Level:
- 7+ years of overall IT experience
- 3+ years of Python development
- 2+ years of hands-on Azure experience
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Good to Have:
- Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-900.
NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for Canada-based positions. The starting pay range for this remote role is $65 to $75/hour CAD. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all Canada locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
