We're looking to add a proofreading rock-star with expertise in pharmaceutical and medical promotional materials including electronic media, presentations, brochures, social media, package inserts, instructions for use booklets, and packaging. The ideal candidate will be a meticulous a detail-oriented Proofreader with healthcare/pharmaceutical know-how and a passion for precision needed to uphold accuracy, compliance, and consistency across a range of communications. Job Summary: The Proofreader will be responsible for reviewing and editing a wide range of advertising materials, including print ads, digital content, social media posts, and promotional materials. The focus of this job is on producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures. Precise, consistent work output is essential, requiring patience and a willingness to handle and complete one task at a time. The job environment is stable, based on known relationships with people and well-defined processes. Job knowledge and competency is built through structured step-by-step training and positive, supportive coaching from management and peers. Communication with others is based on knowledge of repetitive job routines and procedures gained from sufficient job experience. Consistent, error free work based on defined regulations and standards are key measures of job performance success. This position is designed to develop a valued technical expert, one who is recognized and supported by management, with a stable work environment, who can deliver quality work on a consistent basis. Key Responsibilities: - Review and proofread copy for accuracy, clarity, and consistency across various formats, including print and digital media. - Ensure all materials adhere to brand guidelines and style guides. - Experience proofreading documents in an online system is preferred - 5+ years' experience as a proofreader is required. - Experience in proofreading healthcare and pharmaceutical promotional materials is required. - Experience working within an agency setting is strongly preferred. - Proficiency with AMA style guidelines and experience using Adobe Acrobat is preferred. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred. - Proven experience in proofreading or copyediting, preferably in an advertising or marketing agency setting. - Exceptional attention to detail and a strong grasp of grammar, punctuation, and style. - Familiarity with various style guides (e.g., AP, Chicago) is a plus. - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members. - Proficient in using editing tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
