Grant Writer Volunteer
We are seeking for a Grant Writer Volunteer who wants to help with the mission of a small nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in grant writing, is articulate, self-motivated, proactive, and organized. The role could lead to a p/t paid position based on grant funding. Please note that the first two weeks are a trial period to see if the role is a good fit for the volunteer.
Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and apply for public and private grant opportunities that are applicable
- Prepare first drafts of grant proposals and grant applications
- Assist with other fundraising projects as needed
Qualifications
- At least 1year of grant writing experience
- Must have the ability to understand the grant writing process
- Available to volunteer 3 to 5 hours per week
- Ability to understand and execute complex instructions
- Excellent writing and grammar skills
- Excellent research and proofreading skills
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications or a related field and/or related experience (Preferred)
