Piper Companies is seeking a Network Security Analyst (SOC2 / NIST) to support a leading organization in the technology and compliance‑driven services industry. The Network Security Analyst (SOC2 / NIST) role is ideal for a security‑focused IT professional with strong experience in secure network design, compliance frameworks, and modern automation practices. Responsibilities of the Network Security Analyst (SOC2 / NIST):

  • Design, monitor, and maintain secure network architectures aligned to NIST and SOC2 standards.
  • Support implementation and ongoing governance of security controls, policies, and compliance documentation.
  • Execute or contribute to prior implementation efforts for SOC and NIST frameworks.
  • Manage and troubleshoot TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, and network security technologies.
  • Leverage Python for automation, security tasks, and network‑related scripting when applicable.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure, scalable operations.
  • Participate in continuous monitoring, incident response, and improvements to network security posture.

Qualifications of the Network Security Analyst (SOC2 / NIST):

  • 7+ years of IT or network security experience.
  • Strong experience with NIST and SOC2—designing, monitoring, and maintaining secure network environments aligned to these standards.
  • Previous hands‑on implementation experience with SOC and/or NIST frameworks strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and core network security concepts.
  • Experience with Windows or Linux server environments and modern security tooling.
  • Python scripting experience preferred for automation and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to operate independently in a remote environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.—no visa sponsorship offered.

Compensation for the Network Security Analyst (SOC2 / NIST) includes:

  • Salary range: $100,000 - $120,000
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO
  • Remote work flexibility (EST timezone required)
  • 1‑year contract‑to‑hire opportunity
