LMS Integration Specialist (Canvas, D2L, Moodle)

We are an ed‑tech SaaS company in higher education seeking an experienced LMS Integration Specialist to review and improve our existing Canvas integration, then design and implement new integrations for D2L Brightspace and Moodle. Our platform supports AI‑powered video assessment, and we need robust, scalable LMS connectivity for university customers. Scope of work Review current Canvas LMS integration: Assess architecture, security, and reliability. Validate LTI 1.3/Advantage configuration, grade passback, and user provisioning. Identify performance, UX, and maintainability issues. Design and implement LMS integrations for: D2L Brightspace. Moodle (preferably LTI 1.3/Advantage and relevant plugins). Document integration architecture, configuration steps, and ongoing maintenance procedures. Collaborate with our engineering team on testing, QA, and staging/production rollout. Provide guidance on best practices for multi‑tenant LMS integrations in higher education. Required experience Hands‑on LMS integration experience with Canvas plus at least one of D2L or Moodle. Strong understanding of LTI 1.3/Advantage, OAuth2, and SSO/IDP integrations. Experience building API‑based integrations (REST/GraphQL) between SaaS products and LMS platforms. Familiarity with higher‑education environments and institutional IT constraints. Ability to write clear technical documentation and implementation guides. Nice to have Experience with SIS integrations (e.g., Banner, PeopleSoft) or enrollment feeds. Background in ed‑tech, assessment platforms, or learning analytics. Familiarity with AWS‑hosted SaaS applications. Engagement details Contract role; remote. Initial project: deep review of Canvas integration plus implementation of D2L and Moodle integrations.
