Work Environment
This position is based remotely, allowing for a flexible work-life balance. However, as an integral part of our outpatient team, there may be occasional needs for in-person meetings or collaborative sessions with colleagues or clients in the Oceanside, California area. Our outpatient office setting is designed to promote client comfort and effective therapy; hence, the transition to remote work aligns seamlessly with our organizational goals of accessibility and support.
Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one psychotherapy services to clients, including individuals, couples, and families, employing evidence-based treatment modalities tailored to their unique needs.
- Conducting thorough assessments to inform treatment plans and monitor client progress, ensuring alignment with professional standards and best practices.
- Offering weekly supervision and guidance to practicum students pursuing their clinical licensure or completing their master’s degree, contributing to their professional development and clinical skills.
- Collaborating with other healthcare providers and community resources to create comprehensive care plans, addressing various aspects of clients’ lives.
- Staying informed about the latest research and therapy methodologies through ongoing education and training.
Patient Population / Client Focus Our client population is diverse, encompassing individuals from various backgrounds and age groups, each facing unique challenges related to mental health. Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
- Possession of a valid state license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is essential.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development in the field of mental health counseling.
- Professional liability insurance is required to practice.
Preferred Experience We prefer candidates with at least two years of experience in mental health counseling or related settings, ideally with previous supervisory experience or time spent mentoring students. Compensation and Benefits
