Legal Assistant – Risk Management
Job Description:
- Organize and manage litigation files
- Gather, organize and index documents and information related to litigation
- Maintain calendars and docketing system to meet deadlines
- Attend meetings, hearings and trials as needed
- Perform electronic research
- Assist attorneys in preparing cases for trial
- Prepare deposition and case summaries and other reports related to pending litigation
- Manage and administer a large volume of contracts of different types
- Maintain a database to track key contract terms, such as renewal and termination dates and money flows
- Review, summarize and evaluate contracts
- Organize and maintain contract files
- Perform initial review of contracts and agreements, for subsequent attorney review
- Draft routine contracts and amendments under attorney supervision
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Associate degree or combination of education and experience may substitute for minimum education
- Corporate Or Litigation Paralegal (5 Years)
