Lead Logistics Specialist
Job Description:
- Primary point of contact with the cross-functional execution teams for developing and managing logistics plans for various projects.
- Ensure adherence to Inquiry to Order (ITO) and Order to Remittance (OTR) logistics processes as defined within Gas Power projects, supporting on-time delivery to end customers.
- Create project logistics budgets and develop transport plans to support ITO, OTR and day-to-day routing and planning activities.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure planning and execution of logistics that supports on-time delivery and optimize logistics costs
- Monitor and ensure compliance of supporting Logistics Coordinators with customer requirements and contract deliverables
- Build strong relationship with internal partners, and key account contacts to understand repairs outage needs and keep the repairs logistics operational team KPIs on target
- Provide Day-to-Day oversight (Daily Management, Morning Start up and EOD report out) to leadership with regards to projects within scope
- Develop and lead end-to-end logistics solutions to achieve on-time deliveries, manage logistical costs to meet budgetary and operational plan.
- Take ownership of key logistics metrics and lead additional operational activities, as needed
- Supervise day-to-day logistics operations of Steam GE Gas Repairs shipments via OTM.
- Making sure 4PL compliance with sourcing strategy and logistics group directions.
- Working with all parties to use OTM as a mandatory tool for all repairs logistics transactions.
- Work with OTM teams on system development and improvement in accordance with logistics leadership direction and actual business needs.
- Improve and develop OTM
- Comply with established financial guidelines and provide for the timely execution of all transactions.
- Supervise post shipment inquiries and claims.
- Supervise and improve data accuracy of logistics tracking system.
Requirements:
- Four (4) plus years hands-on day to day logistics experience
- Relevant bachelor's degree - accredited university/college
- High school diploma / GED may be considered with at least 6 years of aligned work experience
- Fluent in English language (written and spoken)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leader skills
- Demonstrated analytical problem resolution
- Demonstrated ability to lead program/projects
- Ability to plan, market and execute
- Desired Spanish language (industry based written and spoken)
