What You’ll Be Doing: Job Summary The Intern, Data Operations at Evolent will serve as a key technical contributor supporting both EDI and Data Operations functions. This role is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and remediating data and transaction-related issues across systems and workflows, ensuring smooth operational performance. The analyst will work with a variety of tools and technologies including, but not limited to, Edifecs Healthcare Suite (Transaction Manager, SpecBuilder), SQL, ETL/file workflow tools, Microsoft suite (Office, PowerBI, Teams), Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence), and other internal applications. Exposure to automation tools (RPA), scheduling utilities, and reporting platforms is also expected. This position focuses on continuous process improvement and optimization to enhance operational efficiency and meet organizational needs. The analyst will act as a technical operational point-of-contact, collaborating with cross-functional teams to operationalize processes, develop new solutions, and maintain documentation. Additionally, the role involves communicating key updates and insights to stakeholders, tracking the status of monitored processes, and supporting Tier 2 and Tier 3 teams in resolving complex data and transaction issues. Essential Functions Monitor, Execute and Remediation of Daily Operational Processes related to enterprise-wide production interfaces with continuous focus on process improvement. Working on data issues or other initiatives related to both Data Operations and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) focus areas and Tickets triage supporting escalation on EDI transactions. Monitor bot automation processes to ensure end-to-end file processing is completed with high efficiency and on timely basis for client and/or internal stakeholders to best meet or exceed prescribed SLAs/OLAs measured against. Assisting other teams and/or departments to help operationalize tasks (e.g. defining procedures & creating SOPs) that may require additional support not currently present. Routinely assist and collaborate with Tier 2/3 teams to remediate complex ETL/data issues and discuss optimization or migration of current operational tasks overseen by Tier 2/3. Communicating vital information with internal and external stakeholders related to daily operational tasks and/or status of monitored processes using PowerBI/Edifecs TM. Monitor various client inbound & outbound EDI data file extract creations and remediate failures in Edifecs TM as they arise along with update operational process tickets and request status updates to processes as applicable. Coordinate multiteam faceted processes within Evolent business units and create process documentation in Confluence for other team members to reference for future trainings or new hire Required Qualifications 0-1 years minimum of experience with SQL Server Management Studio fundamentals and advanced skills (e.g. writing queries, utilizing SSIS, SSRS to support operations). Substantial knowledge of ETL, Healthcare EDI transactions, along with Microsoft Suite applications (e.g. Word, Excel) and their functions. Strong interpersonal and/or communication skills both oral/written (e.g. will need to communicate with internal and external stakeholders on regular basis). Has strong ability to apply problem solving and critical thinking skills in unfamiliar and/or unknown situations and solution design/implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Healthcare Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) & Medical Billing transactions. Ability to develop, refine and document business related SOPs with minimaloversight. Preferred Education
