Freight Dispatcher/Sales Representative

Overview

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Freight Dispatcher/Sales Representative to onboard carriers and coordinate and manage freight operations within our logistics team. The ideal candidate will utilize transportation management systems and analysis skills to ensure efficient dispatching of freight, optimize supply chain processes, and maintain excellent communication with drivers, clients, and internal teams. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting transportation planning, fleet management, shipping & receiving, and 3PL services. Duties

• Dispatch freight shipments efficiently using transportation management systems.
• Coordinate with drivers, carriers, and clients via multi-line phone systems and maintain professional phone etiquette.
• Utilize GPS tools for route planning and transportation analysis to optimize delivery schedules.
• Manage shipping & receiving schedules, ensuring timely pickup and delivery of freight.
• Monitor fleet operations, including vehicle availability and maintenance coordination.
• Enter data accurately into systems like DocuSign and DropBox, Transportation Management platforms for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Communicate effectively across teams to resolve dispatch issues promptly.
• Support logistics functions including 3PL coordination, freight analysis, and transportation planning.
• Maintain organized records of dispatch activities, shipment statuses, and related documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience with transportation management systems
• Strong knowledge of GPS technology, and transportation planning principles.
• Familiarity with supply chain logistics, fleet management, shipping & receiving processes, and 3PL operations.
• Excellent analysis skills for route optimization and freight scheduling.
• Proficiency in data entry, typing skills, and working with multi-line phone systems.
• Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• This position is integral to ensuring seamless freight operations through effective dispatching, communication, and logistical coordination within our organization.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $3,000.00 - $12,000.00 per month Benefits:
