Freelance Marketing Data Analyst - Marketing, Analytics
Our client, a background check company, is looking for a freelance Marketing Data Analyst to join their team. This is a 40 hour per week, 100% remote role and will be open-ended / ongoing.

The Freelance Marketing Data Analyst will: Extract, synthesize, and analyze large datasets from Salesforce, HubSpot, web analytics, and paid media platforms to uncover trends and measure B2B marketing performance Own CRM and marketing automation data management, ensuring data integrity and acting as a subject matter expert for system structure and data flow Build, maintain, and automate dashboards and reports tracking key marketing KPIs (lead velocity, MQL-to-SQL conversion, attribution, ROI, engagement) Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Operations stakeholders to translate business needs into analytical solutions and reporting frameworks Conduct deep-dive campaign and channel performance analyses to optimize budget allocation and improve marketing effectiveness Support and proactively improve data quality processes, identifying gaps and recommending enhancements to data capture and usability Assist in developing and refining multi-touch attribution models to better understand the customer journey Present insights and recommendations to leadership, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization The Freelance Marketing Data Analyst has: 3+ years of experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, or data analysis, preferably within a B2B environment Advanced SQL skills, with experience extracting, transforming, and joining data across multiple systems Hands-on experience with Salesforce and HubSpot, including reporting, campaign tracking, and data architecture Strong analytical mindset with experience in statistical analysis, A/B testing, and marketing performance measurement Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience working cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and leadership teams High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI or similar preferred) In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
