Project Overview In this role, you will anchor a business-critical cloud data engineering initiative, partnering with enterprise IT and commercial stakeholders to integrate complex business operations workflows. You will design, build, and optimize robust ETL/ELT pipelines that stream data from core enterprise SaaS platforms—specifically Salesforce and Jira—into a centralized Snowflake data warehouse. Built for collaborative, highly technical problem solvers, you will transform raw operational records into high-performance, reporting-ready layers. This project requires a strong understanding of data governance, security boundaries, and schema design, ensuring that downstream Power BI developers and executive audiences have reliable, secure, and lightning-fast access to commercial insights.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline & ETL/ELT Engineering: Build, scale, and maintain high-performing data pipelines to ingest structured and semi-structured data from enterprise SaaS systems into Snowflake. Snowflake Architecture & Transformation: Develop Snowflake pipeline objects, staging environments, advanced transformation logic, and aggregations to build optimized, reporting-ready data structures. SaaS Ecosystem Integration: Lead the technical ingestion and modeling of Salesforce commercial data (opportunities, accounts, and custom A&A approval workflows) and Jira process data (custom fields, workflow configurations, and issue routing). Data Quality & Pipeline Monitoring: Implement rigorous data quality checks, automated error handling, reconciliation scripts, and proactive end-to-end pipeline monitoring. Governance & Enterprise Security: Work strictly within enterprise security architectures, access-control boundaries, and role-based permissions to protect sensitive commercial and operational data. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Power BI developers, Jira/Salesforce administrators, and business analysts to validate data availability, map transformation logic, and support executive dashboards. Agile Delivery & Documentation: Produce comprehensive technical designs, data flow documentation, and operational handoffs while actively participating in standard Agile/Scrum ceremonies. Must-Have Skills Experience Tenure: 5+ years of professional experience working as a Data Engineer, with a proven track record of architecting cloud-based pipelines. Snowflake Mastery: Deep, hands-on engineering experience within Snowflake, specifically focusing on ingestion, staging strategies, stream/task management, and query optimization. Advanced SQL: Expert-level SQL skills for complex data transformation, validation, performance tuning, and building clean analytics schemas. Salesforce Data Competency: Direct experience integrating with Salesforce, including a strong understanding of its data model, REST/Bulk APIs, permissions, and commercial objects (opportunities, sales operations, approvals). Workflow Data Modeling: Proven experience ingesting and modeling data from Jira or similar enterprise-level ticketing and workflow management platforms. Fluent English: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for seamless daily technical collaboration and documentation with US-based stakeholders.

Skills Modern Data Stack Toolkit: Familiarity with modern data orchestration and transformation tools such as dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Matillion, Informatica, or Azure Data Factory. DevOps & CI/CD: Experience utilizing version control (Git), automated testing frameworks for data pipelines, and CI/CD deployment workflows. Time Zone & Collaboration This role is 100% remote from LATAM and requires consistent overlap with teams (CT/ET). Flexibility is expected to accommodate key ceremonies, stand-ups, sprint planning, and collaborative sessions within standard US business hours.
