AI Content Creator & Social Media Coordinator (Beauty Tech Startup)

About the Role
We're looking for a creative, self-motivated content creator who can help bring the Coiled brand to life across Instagram and TikTok. This is not a role where you'll simply schedule posts. We're looking for someone who enjoys researching ideas, creating beautiful content, and using AI tools to produce premium visuals efficiently.
Responsibilities
Each week you will:
- Create 3 social media posts (a mix of reels, carousels, and static posts)
- Design reel covers and thumbnails
- Write captions that match our brand voice
- Create or source editorial-style visuals using AI and design tools
- Schedule content for Instagram and TikTok
- Research current conversations within the textured hair community and suggest content ideas
- Ensure all content aligns with Coiled's visual identity and marketing strategy
Our Style We are not looking for trendy influencer content. Think:
- Editorial beauty photography
- White backgrounds
- Minimal layouts
- Premium design
- Textured hair is always the hero
- Coily, curly, wavy hair and locs
- Diverse skin tones
- Clean typography and lots of white space
Reference brands include:
- Vogue Beauty
- Allure
- Into The Gloss
- The Cut
- Refinery29
Tools Experience with some of the following is preferred:
- Canva
- CapCut
- Adobe Express
- Photoshop (bonus)
- ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.
- AI image generation tools (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, etc.)

- Has an excellent eye for design and aesthetics
- Writes clear, engaging English
- Is comfortable using AI to create content efficiently
- Can work independently and take initiative
- Is organized and meets deadlines
- Has an interest in beauty, hair care, or lifestyle content
Success in This Role Success isn't measured by how many posts you create.
