This opportunity for a sales professional to join our Instrument Enterprise Services division (IES) of Thermo Fisher Scientific. The Position unites deep scientific expertise, a collaborative nature, and rich resources to deliver sales of services for chromatography and molecular scientific equipment that our customers need to achieve their scientific goals – quickly, reliably, and safely. Our service solutions make it easier for customers to focus on what matters most – delivering answers and innovations that save and improve lives. This is a home-based position. Travel: up to 20% overnight The Account Manager (m/f/d) Contract Sales France is responsible for selling service contracts in France for CMD and MSD. In this critical sales position, you will focus on exceeding the sales quotas for our service portfolio by selling and negotiating contracts with end-user customers, key decision-makers and procurement. You will collaborate with cross-divisional & channel distribution partners, product & application specialists, customer experience and business development teams to help drive sales. A day in the Life: Achieve and exceed quarterly & yearly sales goals within the assigned territory Identify, develop and close large sales opportunities Identify customer solutions that span across multiple business sectors and cross-functional partners, and collaborate effectively to implement the sale plan Support cross-functional customer planning sessions and business reviews of service solutions for various customers Develop, implement and maintain account-specific strategies/proposals to drive incremental growth opportunities Use technology to accurately forecast sales pipeline Sells new products by applying value propositions by establishing key customer relationships and understanding customer service/support needs Applies central messaging and sales approach for the broader target audience with outstanding knowledge of our service products Train, Empower and support divisional Sales partners to sell services at POS to achieve sales goals Act as a resource to others in determining the best course of action in compliance with quality processes and business rules and regulations Submits accurate forecasts, weekly reports, monthly highlights, marketing intelligence, and maintains data integrity within SalesForce.com CRM Keys to Success: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Science or equivalent education or experience Five years of selling experience is strongly preferred. Experience successfully meeting or exceeding sales targets in a business environment Demonstrable experience creating and driving sales and/or field marketing plans Native French speaker/ Second language english requested Success in territory management plans with a focus on developing long-term relationships Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.) Solid understanding of assigned product portfolio and corresponding technical understanding of instruments (CMD, RSD, MSD) Familiarity with the following industries: biotech, clinical, pharmaceutical, academic/medical research, environmental, food, forensics, and petrochemical Proficiency with sales software like Salesforce.com What we offer: Employment with an innovative, future-oriented organisation Outstanding career and development prospects Company pension scheme and other fringe benefits We offer you the opportunity to actively participate in improvements as part of our environmental management system, e.g. to make your own workplace and products increasingly sustainable.
