Workday Data Principal Consultant (Workday Student)

The Workday Data Principal Consultant (Workday Student) will “bridge the gap” between the business and technical teams by solving complex Workday Student intersystem problems. They will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation. Responsibilities: Reinforces company policies and procedures to others. Helps others by driving, organizing and assigning tasks within a project workstream in order to drive efficient completion and achieve project goals. Guides clients through the data extract and cleansing process. Coordinates and supports cross functional discussions related to the execution of a Workday tenant build. Uses technical aptitude to map data sources into Workday using delivered or proprietary tools for the data conversion process. Loads customer data, troubleshoots and documents issues and provides support on resolutions. Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday Student solution. Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, the project team and the Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project. Willingness to take a leadership position on a project, or as a Cognizant or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer. Support the validation of data loaded into Workday. Utilize your technical aptitude to convert and map data sources into data conversion templates via Workday load methods (i.e. iLoads/EIBs). Act as a mentor to fellow consultants and analysts, including providing support for shadow assignments. Actively participate in update training and internal opportunities to share one’s skills and learnings with others within the organization. Additional duties as assigned by manager. Skills & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 2+ years of Workday implementation experience required. 2-5 years Student, Human Resources, Payroll, or Financial software experience required. 2-5 years implementing functional solutions with ERP or SaaS software required. Experience gathering business requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines. Demonstrated functional experience in Student, Human Resources, Payroll, or Financials Management. Salary and Other Compensation Applications will be accepted until 09/29/2026 The annual salary for this position is between $106,171 - $159,257 USD depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
