This role offers the convenience of a 100% remote workspace for Independent Contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately transcribe depositions, hearings, and various judicial proceedings. Process audio recordings with meticulous attention to detail, adhering to established style guides to produce precise verbatim transcripts. Communicate effectively with our supportive in-office team for guidance and collaboration as needed. Required Skills Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription is essential. Exceptional listening skills and a keen eye for detail. Strong adherence to deadlines and client-specific formatting requirements. Outstanding literacy skills, including proficiency in comprehension, spelling, and grammar. Ability to collaborate efficiently in a remote setting. High typing accuracy and speed. Capacity to process sensitive audio/text content (potentially offensive material). Familiarity with legal terminology is crucial. Must be able to pass a background check. Court reporting students are welcome to apply.
Qualifications
Significant experience in legal transcription or related fields is required. A background in legal studies or transcription is preferred but not mandatory.
