Remote.Job Responsibilities:Enable and configure site-specific metadata for marketing websites:Use and maintain Robots.txt to manage URLs and disallow un-necessary URLs.Use permanent redirects (301s) to preserve page equity when migrating URLs.Use 404s to indicate when Google should no longer index and rank a page.Provide the right URLs to discover via: Accurate XML sitemaps, Internal URLs which are accessible (not 404s), HreflangCanonicalizing URLs to de-dupe for Google indexing Site-specific monitoring, alerting, triaging, and actioning: 404/500 errors, site performance, and speed metricsEnable/configure SSR, when appropriate, to optimize for crawler performancePartner with product & engineering to build and utilize internal tools to maximize SEODevelop SEO optimized HTML/XML and contentSkills:Web Developer with 5-7 years of experience in technical SEO, including site performance, metrics, accessibility, sitemaps, structured data, and tooling. Strong web dev experience not just SEO Manager.
