Volunteer Game Programmer
Driftpop Studios is looking to hire a Gameplay Programming Specialist with experience in Unreal Engine development! You will be working on Mall Ryders, a fast-paced 3D prototype of a soon to be multiplayer game, to be shipped in full on Steam. We are looking to further iterate on our demo and fix pre-existing bugs from a prior development cycle. You will be responsible for helping us tweak mechanics, optimize in game physics, and generally add features that help polish the current gameplay loop. What You’ll Do: -Refine, optimize and tweak mechanics within a pre-built Unreal Engine prototype. -Implement and adjust physics interactions. -Debug and troubleshoot existing blueprints and C++ code. -Collaborate with the project lead and work with feedback. What Makes You More Impressive: -The ability to establish basic multiplayer functionality. -Proven Experience with UE4/UE5 development. -Having an intuitive knack for game feel and UX design -The resourcefulness which allows you to quickly parse a pre-existing codebase and implement clean fixes without excessive oversight.
