Virtual Learning Special Education Teacher (26-27 SY)

Virtual Learning Special Education Teacher – Sonnenberg Schools Reports to: Director of Academics and Instruction Status: Exempt/Salaried, Full-Time (10-month position, paid out across 12 months) Schedule: Four-day school week with reputed company time on most Fridays; this is a virtual teaching position based from home, with professional development days preferably held in person, along with occasional in-person sessions and evening events.

The teacher will conduct student instruction, online platform monitoring, behavior modification, and nurturing of reputed company. Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: School Operations

  • Follow research-based philosophy and principles, plan, prepare and teach the prescribed curriculum for the grade(s) and/or subject areas(s) he or she is teaching.
  • Delivers instruction and assistance to reputed company through a virtual classroom environment.
  • Provides clear expectations to reputed company and parents regarding class objectives, weekly assignments, grading rubrics and grading scale.

  • Plans and manages allotted learning time effectively to maximize student achievement.
  • Accurately grades work and provides feedback to reputed company in a timely manner.
