Work Environment
This position is fully remote, allowing for a flexible work environment that balances the needs of our clients with your professional lifestyle. You will collaborate closely with a team of mental health professionals through digital platforms, ensuring a high level of support and communication. The typical working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver therapeutic services to clients experiencing various mental health challenges, including mood disorders, trauma, anxiety, and relationship issues.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including intake evaluations and diagnostic assessments, to inform treatment plans.
- Develop individualized and culturally sensitive treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy.
- Facilitate trust-building with clients, creating realistic goals and empowering treatment strategies that support their healing journey.
- Respond effectively to client crises, providing immediate support and intervention as needed.
- Document clinical interactions accurately while adhering to ethical guidelines, state regulations, and clinic policies.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities and contribute to the training and mentorship of new counselors or interns.
Patient Population / Client Focus The Therapeutic Counselor will work with a diverse population facing various psychological issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and familial or relationship conflicts. Our clients vary widely in age and background, allowing you to utilize a broad range of therapeutic approaches tailored to individual needs.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
- A minimum of two years of experience in providing therapy in an outpatient or clinical setting is required.
- Demonstrable clinical assessment skills and the ability to create effective treatment strategies based on assessment outcomes.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in trauma counseling, grief therapy, couples therapy, or adolescent counseling is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with evidence-based practices and various psychotherapy techniques that enhance client engagement and recovery.
- A commitment to maintaining understanding and sensitivity towards clients' cultural backgrounds and identities.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $80,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
