Temporary Part Time Librarian

Provide exceptional customer service to library patrons, including answering reference questions, recommending books and resources, and assisting with technology use. Organize and maintain library materials, including shelving, cataloging, and processing new items. Plan and implement engaging programs and events for all ages, such as book clubs, author visits, and storytimes. Collaborate with other library staff to develop and maintain a welcoming and inclusive library environment. Utilize knowledge of library science and literature to assist patrons with finding and utilizing relevant resources. Keep up-to-date with current trends in literature and technology to provide relevant and accurate information to patrons. Assist with collection development by identifying and recommending new materials to add to the library's collection. Communicate effectively with library staff and management to ensure smooth operations and provide input for improving services. Maintain accurate and detailed records of library transactions and activities. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Handle administrative tasks, such as processing library cards and collecting fines. Adhere to library policies and procedures to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all patrons. Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to adapt to changing needs and priorities. Represent the library at community events and promote library services to the public.
