Technician- III

University of Wisconsin System Administration is looking for a Technician III. Must be a current Wisconsin resident. The Universities of Wisconsin-Systems Administration seeks a contractor to help augment our identity and access management team that oversees our Microsoft 365 tenant. The current team members are involved in a project to move to Teams phones and this position would help backfill the M365 admins in their day-to-day M365 administration work. The duties of the position include:

• * Using the Office 365 Admin Center and/or Okta administrative tools.
• Configuring and maintaining mailboxes, including email forwarding, shared mailboxes, and email security settings.
• Implementing and maintaining security measures in M365 to safeguard data and applications.
• Working with and educating users on best practices and new features of M365.
• Having strong written and verbal skills to communicate with users and stakeholders.

Top Skills & Years of Experience:

• Proficiency in using the Office 365 Admin Center and/or Okta administrative tools.
• Configuring and maintaining mailboxes, including email forwarding, shared mailboxes, and email security settings.
• Implementing and maintaining security measures in M365 to safeguard data and applications.
• Working with and educating users on best practices and new features of M365.
• Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with users and stakeholders.

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Experience in administering Microsoft 365 suite is important.
• Familiarity with Azure, Active Directory, SCCM/Intune a plus
• Knowledge of identity and access management systems, two factor authentication, in particular Okta, also preferred.

Interview Process:

• Microsoft Teams interviews- 45 minutes (30-minute interview and 15 minutes for candidate questions)

Duration of the Contract:

• Until 02/28/2025 with the possibility of extending

• This position is 100% remote within the state of Wisconsin.
• Must be a current Wisconsin resident or willing to relocate at the candidates expense.
