Staff Accountant - REMOTE

ABOUT THE ROLE: We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, analyzing financial data, and helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $25 - $28/hour (DOE)

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain and analyze accounting records and account activity
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Review financial information for accuracy and compliance
- Assist with accounting operations and process improvements
- Coordinate accounting activities with other departments
- Research and resolve accounting issues as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- Provide support and guidance to team members as needed
Requirements
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Acumatica experience a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 2-4 years of accounting experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with month-end close processes
- Multi-entity accounting experience
- Experience improving accounting processes and procedures
