Sr. Startup Solutions Architect, Early Startups
About the position This role is for technical builders passionate about startups and modern technologies, aiming to make a positive difference by helping startups grow. Startups are seen as the enterprises of the future, founded by ambitious individuals who desire to build something meaningful, often challenging the status quo or addressing underserved customers. They typically operate with limited resources in terms of time, capital, engineering expertise, or experience. The AWS Startup Solutions Architecture team is dedicated to assisting startup companies in deploying scalable, secure, reliable, performant, sustainable, and efficient architectures while minimizing time and financial expenditure. In this position, you will collaborate directly with a diverse range of interesting customers across various industries such as AI/ML, HCLS, FinTech, and ClimateTech, guiding them in making optimal and pragmatic technical decisions. You will have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with these companies and their founders, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor. Beyond direct customer engagement, you will dedicate time to continuous learning and skill enhancement, given AWS's extensive portfolio of over 200 services. You will also serve as a customer advocate to product teams, ensuring the development of relevant products and features for startups. Furthermore, this role offers ample opportunities to share knowledge broadly through the creation of technical content and presentations at events.
Responsibilities
- Help a diverse range of startups to adopt the right architecture at each part of their lifecycle
- Support startups in architecting scalable, reliable and secure solutions
- Support adoption of a broad range of AWS services to deliver business value and accelerate growth
- Support the evolution and roadmap of the AWS platform and services, connecting our engineering teams with our customers for feedback
- Establish and build technical relationships within the startup ecosystem, including accelerators, incubators and VCs
- Develop startup specific technical content, such as blog posts, sample code and solutions, to assist customers solve technical problems and reduce time-to-market
Requirements
- 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
