There is also the potential for utilizing hybrid or virtual-on-campus (VoCo) teaching methods depending on evolving school needs. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification in Arizona (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with students with intermediate disabilities at the middle school level
- Comfort leading 6th-8th grade classrooms and developing an encouraging, structured learning environment
- Strong classroom management, differentiation, and communication skills
- Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring
- Flexibility to adapt to onsite and possible VoCo/hybrid settings as needed
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support in a sales classroom for grades 6–8
- Implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and collaborate with colleagues, therapists, and families
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture, promoting student success and well-being
- Develop engaging lesson plans that address diverse learning needs
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and support the transition of students between in-person and hybrid learning models as required
