Special Education Teacher Online | Colorado
Opportunities for special education teachers are available with a focus on supporting students via telehealth and in-person settings. These contract roles are based in Golden, CO, serving elementary and middle school populations. Positions require current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) special education generalist licensure. Assignments include three full-time roles, each consisting of 37.5 hours per week over five days:
- Elementary Special Education Teacher within the AN Center
- Middle School Special Education Teacher
- Middle AN Center Special Education Teacher
Key responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs, collaborating with educational teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and utilizing telehealth technologies to provide accessible services when applicable. Maintaining accurate records, progress monitoring, and engaging with families and caregivers are also integral to these positions. Desired qualifications and experience:
- Current CDE special education generalist licensure
- Proven ability to design and implement comprehensive, standards-aligned special education programming
- Experience working in elementary and/or middle school settings preferred
- Strong communication skills, both virtual and in-person
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms is advantageous
