Software Engineer II

Are you ready to join a growing team? CTG is seeking a Software Engineer II to support a cloud migration initiative for our client. This role will focus on migrating .NET-based APIs from an OpenShift environment to Azure Cloud, including application updates, pipeline enhancements, and cloud modernization efforts. Location: Remote Duration: 6 months contract Key Responsibilities: Assist with migration of .NET applications and APIs from OpenShift to Azure Cloud. Analyze, design, develop, test, and implement application solutions and enhancements. Modify application code and CI/CD pipeline processes to support cloud migration requirements. Develop and maintain scalable, reliable software solutions using modern development practices. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex application issues. Collaborate with Development, Operations, and Technology teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, diagrams, and system support materials. Participate in testing activities including test planning, execution, debugging, and validation. Evaluate application performance and recommend improvements to technology, processes, and standards. Support project planning, technical estimates, milestone tracking, and delivery activities. Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of systems analysis and application development experience. Experience with Azure Cloud Platform. Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Strong development experience with C#. Experience with Python and Bash scripting. Experience supporting cloud migration or modernization initiatives. Strong understanding of application development practices, platforms, and integration concepts. Ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills: Experience migrating applications from OpenShift to Azure environments. Knowledge of cloud-native application development and deployment practices. Experience with enterprise application frameworks and integrated systems. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical teams. Experience providing technical guidance and mentoring to other developers. Education Requirements: Associate degree with 5 years of relevant systems analysis/application development experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $46.64 - $77.74/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
