Description The Microsoft Dynamics GP Developer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting enhancements and integrations for the Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains ERP system. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand their financial and operational needs, translating those requirements into technical specifications, and delivering robust, scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities - System Development & Customization: Design, develop, and deploy customizations within the Dynamics GP environment using tools such as Dexterity, Modifier with VBA, and Visual Studio Tools. - Integration Management: Build and maintain data integrations between Dynamics GP and other enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, billing, HR systems) using eConnect, Integration Manager, and custom API development (C# / .NET). - Database & Reporting: Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Develop custom reports and dashboards using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SmartList Builder. - Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Act as the technical escalation point for GP-related issues. Troubleshoot system errors, performance bottlenecks, and data integrity issues. - System Upgrades & Maintenance: Assist in planning, testing, and executing Dynamics GP version upgrades, service packs, and the installation of third-party ISV products. - Documentation & Collaboration: Create and maintain clear technical documentation for customizations and integrations. Collaborate with business analysts, finance teams, and technical leadership to gather and refine requirements. Qualifications & Requirements - Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP development, implementation, and technical support. - Core Technical Skills: Proficiency in Dexterity, eConnect, Integration Manager, and C# / .NET. - Database Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL programming, SSIS, and SSRS. Strong understanding of the underlying Dynamics GP database schema. - Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong ability to debug complex integrations and custom code. - Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical financial stakeholders Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

  • Experience with Dynamics GP migrations (e.g., moving to Dynamics 365 Business Central or Finance & Operations).

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Kansas City, MO. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $69.44 - $76.39/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
