If Linux is your native language and you can read a SIP trace like a novel, keep going… You'll be in the middle of high-impact telecom infrastructure, the kind powering real-world, large-scale platforms. When things break, you're the one who figures out why . What You'll Be Doing Live in Linux—troubleshooting complex VoIP environments Break down SIP signaling + RTP flows at the packet level Dive into Wireshark/tcpdump to uncover what others miss Solve production issues in real time (no training wheels) Work alongside engineers who actually know their stuff What You Bring Strong Linux background (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) — non-negotiable Solid VoIP + SIP experience (telecom mindset matters) Packet analysis skills (Wireshark, tcpdump) Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing) Comfort in the CLI—no GUI safety nets Bonus if you've touched Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, SBCs, or done any scripting
