Senior Infrastructure Architect (Work from Home)
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operating Systems: Deep, expert-level knowledge of Linux environments (specifically Red Hat and Debian) including kernel tuning and advanced administration. Networking & Security: Advanced expertise in TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, routing/switching, Firewalls, DNS management, and secure network design. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Extensive experience automating infrastructure using tools like Terraform or Ansible. Virtualization & Containers: Hands-on experience with platforms like OpenStack, and container orchestration with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker. Scripting: Advanced proficiency in Python or Bash for complex automation. Professional Attributes: This role requires Strategic Thinking, Excellent Communication, Leadership & Mentorship, and Strong Problem-Solving skills COMPETENCIES Core Competencies (Must-have Competencies) 5+ years of experience in Architectural Design: Design scalable, secure, and highly available Linux and network infrastructures, producing logical architectures and capacity plans 5+ years of experience in Network Leadership: Architect and oversee advanced network routing, switching, load balancing, and firewall configurations for on-premise environments 5+ years of experience in IaC Strategy & Implementation: Lead the strategy and implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the provisioning and management of servers and network devices. 5+ years of experience in Technical Mentorship: Act as the primary technical authority, providing consulting during project initiation and acting as an escalation point for complex tier 3 issues 5+ years of experience in Performance Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize network throughput, Linux OS performance, and overall system availability QUALIFICATIONS Educational Qualification/s University degree in computer science, software engineering, or other relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
