Senior Guidewire Business Analyst (100% remote)
Senior Guidewire Business Analyst Contract: 12+ months (extensions highly likely) Start: ASAP Sector: Insurance / Financial Services We are seeking a Senior Guidewire Business Analyst to support a large‑scale transformation programme focused on PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter. You will act as the key bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, and Guidewire implementation partners, ensuring requirements are fully understood, documented, and delivered within an agile environment. This role requires deep functional Guidewire expertise, strong analytical capability, and the ability to drive clarity across complex insurance processes. Remit
- Lead requirements gathering across Policy, Billing, and Claims workstreams
- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories
- Collaborate with Guidewire architects and development teams to ensure accurate solution design
- Facilitate workshops with underwriting, claims, finance, and operations stakeholders
- Support configuration and integration activities across the full SDLC
- Perform gap analysis and propose functional enhancements
- Validate delivered functionality through UAT planning, test case creation, and defect triage
- Ensure alignment with insurance processes and regulatory requirements
Skills
- 7+ years as a Business Analyst within insurance or large‑scale transformation programmes
- 3+ years hands‑on Guidewire experience (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter)
- Strong understanding of P&C insurance processes, product structures, rating, underwriting, and claims
- Proven experience writing user stories, functional specs, process flows, and data mappings
- Solid knowledge of Guidewire configuration, integration patterns, and API interactions
- Experience working with SI partners and multi‑vendor delivery environments
- Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with Agile / Scrum delivery
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Nice to Have
- Guidewire certifications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter)
- Experience with Gosu, Integration Gateway, or Cloud migrations
- Background in regulatory change, product launches, or core system replacement
