About the Role: Our client is seeking a disciplined, remote Full-Stack Web Developer for a high-stakes, 2-month contract to build a game-changing, mobile-friendly Proof of Concept (PoC) application. Operating as a critical technical asset, you will own this project end-to-end, single-handedly taking a visionary product concept and turning it into a functional, deployment-ready web tool. They value pragmatic engineering. Assembling a reliable PoC from proven tools and SDKs beats reinventing them. They care about a working, client-ready result delivered on time, not about building computer vision or complex mapping tools from scratch. The application you build will serve as the primary competitive differentiator in the market. It will empower their field technicians and sales representatives to walk into a client’s property, map the floor plan using a mobile phone camera, seamlessly cross-reference HVAC asset data via an integrated backend, and instantly generate three tailored preventive maintenance or replacement schedules to present directly to the homeowner or business. If you are a precise, independent full-stack developer who has shipped interactive, data-driven web tools, is comfortable wiring together camera, mapping, and image-recognition capabilities, and possesses the portfolio to prove it, this role offers excellent compensation and a massive resume-building opportunity. Project Structure & Compensation Engagement: Independent contractor, fully remote 2-month Proof of Concept (PoC). Location: Fully remote (Greater Metro Manila area preferred for collaboration cadence and asynchronous time-zone alignment). Rate: Based on experience and portfolio strength. Payment Structure: Milestone- and benchmark-based, subject to rigorous acceptance testing at each gate (see milestones below). Efficiency Bonus: A 10–15% bonus of the total contract value is available for verified delivery within 3 weeks to 1 month, tiered by the completion date. Project Milestones # Milestone Acceptance Criteria 1 Architecture + Access Project scaffold, database schema, and secure login with technician / sales / admin roles. 2 Capture & Mapping MVP Mobile camera captures a room; app produces a usable floor-plan layout with square footage. 3 Asset Database + Recognition HVAC asset backend populated; model / serial / asset tags read from a photo into a record. 4 Reporting Engine Captured data compiles into a clean deliverable with three maintenance / replacement options. 5 QA & Deployment-Ready Tested, debugged, documented, and packaged for deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Interactive Mapping: Build a web-based tool capable of mapping room and floor-plan layouts directly from a mobile camera (utilizing ARKit / RoomPlan, ARCore, WebXR, or a comparable approach). Camera & Video Capture: Capture live or uploaded video to record layouts, square footage, and individual rooms. Floor Plan Output: Translate captured data into clear floor-plan visualizations usable for heating and cooling load estimates. Asset Database Backend: Build a structured backend holding comprehensive HVAC asset data, unit histories, and technical specifications. Image & Data Recognition: Capture and identify model numbers, serial numbers, and asset tags from photos or video (integration of cloud OCR / vision services is highly welcomed). Reporting Engine: Develop an automated reporting module that compiles captured asset data into a polished client deliverable outlining three distinct preventive maintenance or replacement schedule options. Security & Access Controls: Implement secure authentication and role-based access controls for technicians, sales reps, and admins. QA & Testing: Conduct extensive testing, debugging, and quality assurance workflows to harden the application to a client-ready standard prior to deployment. Qualifications & Skills Experience & Core Stack Years of Experience: 3 to 5+ years of professional full-stack web development experience. Technical Stack: Proficient in a modern web stack (e.g., React / Next.js / Node or equivalent), structured database backends, and REST / API integration. Strongly Preferred: Hands-on experience with camera / AR / spatial tools (RoomPlan, ARCore, WebXR, photogrammetry) and/or image recognition and OCR (cloud vision APIs). Education & Portfolio (Strict Prerequisite) Portfolio: Weighted heavily. A strong, verifiable portfolio demonstrating prior full-stack projects, interactive web tools, mapping projects, or database-driven applications. This matters more to us than pedigree. Education: A degree in computer science / engineering or equivalent demonstrable skill.
