About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a long-term fintech project focused on innovative payment solutions. In this role, you'll work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and development teams to define requirements, align priorities, and support the successful delivery of complex payment initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong expertise in the payments and fintech domain who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Gather, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements. Collaborate with Product Owners, stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate business needs into clear User Stories and acceptance criteria. Create and maintain high-quality project documentation, including functional specifications, process documentation, user manuals, and Confluence pages. Ensure traceability between business requirements, User Stories, and delivered solutions. Prepare business process flows, business rules, and solution design documentation. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), implementation, and knowledge transfer activities. Identify risks, documentation gaps, and open items while proactively driving them to resolution.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the Payments and/or Fintech industry. Experience delivering greenfield projects from concept to production. Strong knowledge of Open Banking and/or payment solutions. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills. Experience writing User Stories, functional specifications, and process documentation. Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for backlog and delivery management. Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive initiatives forward.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of ISO 20022 and XML-based messaging. Experience working with REST APIs, SOAP, and webhooks. Understanding of PSD2, GDPR, PCI-DSS, and AML regulations.
