[Remote] Volunteer: NGO Management Volunteer Internship (online and in-person) in Peru
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Global Nomadic is a sustainable development non-profit NGO focused on improving the lives of poor coastal communities in Peru. They are seeking passionate individuals for a Volunteer Management Internship, where interns will gain hands-on experience in managing projects, supporting local communities, and participating in educational seminars.
Responsibilities
- Creating and distributing tide and swell charts for local fishermen each week
- Supporting accounting processes and working with spreadsheets and financial performance metrics and reports
- Taking photos and making videos of ongoing activities for social media platforms and website
- Designing and carrying out surveys in the local community, analyzing data and report writing
- Supporting other volunteer interns and staff in the maintenance of reforestation sites, permaculture garden, dry toilet units and more
Skills
- Passionate about sustainable development
- Ability to support day to day management of the organisation
- Willingness to engage in a variety of tasks and development initiatives
- Ability to support accounting processes and work with spreadsheets
- Experience or willingness to document activities for social media platforms and website
- Ability to design and carry out surveys in the local community
- Skills in data analysis and report writing
- Willingness to support maintenance of reforestation sites, permaculture garden, and dry toilet units
