[Remote] Tour Operations Coordinator
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Classic Journeys is an award-winning cultural walking tour company that operates tours worldwide. They are seeking a Tour Operations Coordinator to manage logistics, improve guest experience, and collaborate with various teams to ensure successful tour operations.
Responsibilities
- Daily contact with guides, hoteliers, transportation companies, and others with whom we interact to run our tours in 50 countries around the world
- Researching ways to improve/add value to our tours and guest experience
- Building strong relationships with our colleagues abroad
- Maintaining up-to-date information on all tour-related expenses in Excel as well as our company software system
- Collaborating with Sales, Guest Services, Marketing, and other members of our team
Skills
- Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 2+ years of experience in event planning, operations, or a related field
- Self-starter with exceptional organizational skills
- Proven ability to work under/meet tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in building/following budgets
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Enjoy independently managing assigned tour regions and working as part of a larger team
- Love of all things travel
- Knowledge of the luxury travel sector is beneficial
- Salesforce experience is a plus
- Not required, but bonus points for you and us if you have lived abroad or have solid travel experience
- This role does not require any foreign language ability to succeed, but if you have foreign language ability, you will have the opportunity to utilize it
