Remote Telehealth Nutritionist & Dietitian
Our client is a leading innovator in digital health, seeking a dedicated and empathetic Remote Telehealth Nutritionist & Dietitian to join their fully remote team. This position is ideal for a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) passionate about leveraging technology to improve client health outcomes. You will provide personalized nutrition counseling and support to clients via video conferencing, phone calls, and secure messaging platforms. The focus will be on developing sustainable eating patterns, managing chronic health conditions through diet, and empowering clients to achieve their wellness goals from the convenience of their own homes.
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for clients remotely, evaluating dietary intake, lifestyle factors, and health status. Develop individualized nutrition and meal plans tailored to client goals, dietary preferences, medical conditions (e.g., diabetes, heart disease, allergies), and cultural backgrounds. Provide evidence-based nutrition education and counseling to clients, empowering them to make informed food choices and adopt healthy eating habits. Monitor client progress, provide ongoing support, and adjust nutrition plans as needed through virtual consultations and regular check-ins. Utilize the company's telehealth platform to deliver high-quality nutrition services, ensuring HIPAA compliance and data security. Collaborate with healthcare providers as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care. Stay current with the latest advancements in nutrition science, public health, and telehealth best practices. Document all client interactions and progress notes accurately and efficiently within the electronic health record system. Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development activities. Contribute to the development of educational resources and content for clients and the platform. Qualifications:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential. Current state licensure or ability to obtain licensure in states served by the company. Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical nutrition or dietetics, with a strong understanding of various health conditions and dietary management. Proficiency with telehealth platforms, electronic health records (EHR), and other relevant digital health tools. Excellent communication, active listening, and motivational interviewing skills. Ability to build rapport and provide empathetic support to a diverse client base remotely. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload independently. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in nutrition and telehealth. Experience with specialized areas such as sports nutrition, pediatric nutrition, or weight management is a plus.
