[Remote] Telecommunications Project Manager

C4 Communications is looking for a qualified Telecom Project Manager to oversee clients' connectivity and cloud voice implementations from project kickoff through successful completion. The role involves managing multiple telecommunications projects and serving as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring projects are completed on time and with exceptional customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee telecommunications implementation projects including connectivity, cloud voice, SD-WAN, and related telecommunications solutions
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the implementation lifecycle
- Coordinate project activities between clients, carriers, cloud voice providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and implementation schedules
- Lead project kickoff calls, status meetings, implementation reviews, and cutover activities
- Track and manage circuit orders, cloud voice deployments, phone number porting activities, and service activations
- Proactively identify project risks, delays, and dependencies while developing mitigation strategies
- Keep clients informed of project status, milestones, and challenges through regular communication
- Coordinate and oversee service cutovers, testing activities, and project closeouts
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, sales, and support teams to ensure successful service delivery
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high levels of organization and customer satisfaction
- Support ongoing customer requests related to moves, adds, changes, outages, and service escalations as needed
- Ensure project deliverables meet client expectations and contractual requirements
Skills
- 3+ years of experience in telecommunications project management, implementation management, or related field
- Strong knowledge of connectivity services including fiber, broadband, DIA, MPLS, SD-WAN, and managed networking solutions
- Advanced understanding of cloud voice and hosted PBX platforms
- Experience managing telecommunications carriers and service providers
- Knowledge of phone number porting processes and telecommunications service delivery workflows
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, and WAN technologies
- Experience coordinating service cutovers and implementation projects
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and project management tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences
- HubSpot or other major CRM experience
- Experience working for a telecommunications provider, managed service provider (MSP), carrier, or technology consulting firm
- Experience with major carriers such as AT&T, Comcast, Cox, Spectrum, Lumen, Zayo, and Verizon
- Familiarity with cloud voice platforms such as RingCentral, Zoom Phone, Dialpad, GoTo Connect, 8x8, or Microsoft Teams Phone
- Experience managing multi-site implementations and enterprise telecommunications projects
- Knowledge of carrier ordering systems, service delivery processes, and escalation management
- Experience creating and maintaining project documentation, implementation runbooks, and status reporting
- PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification
