Programming.com is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex engineering programs supporting large-scale compute infrastructure. The role involves partnering with various engineering teams to drive automation and manage cross-functional communication, ensuring successful execution of infrastructure initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the software team driving automation across infrastructure and hardware operations
- Drive Agile program execution, sprint planning, roadmap tracking, dependency management, and release coordination
- Partner with hardware, firmware, software, reliability, SRE, and operations teams to deliver complex infrastructure initiatives
- Facilitate technical decision-making by translating engineering recommendations into business outcomes
- Evaluate tradeoffs between reliability, quality, operational efficiency, customer impact, and delivery timelines
- Manage cross-functional communication across engineering, product, operations, and leadership
- Identify program risks, remove blockers, and drive resolution across multiple stakeholders
- Build executive-ready status updates, dashboards, KPIs, and program reporting
- Coordinate infrastructure deployment, validation, and operational readiness activities
- Drive continuous improvements through automation, operational tooling, and process optimization
Skills
- 8+ years of Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management, or related experience
- Experience managing complex infrastructure or platform engineering programs
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, SDLC, and large-scale software delivery
- Experience working directly with engineering teams responsible for distributed systems, infrastructure, cloud platforms, or operational tooling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under ambiguity
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and executive stakeholders
- Experience managing cross-functional dependencies across multiple engineering organizations
- Experience supporting hardware operations, hardware validation, manufacturing systems, test engineering, or infrastructure reliability
- Experience with deployment automation, diagnostics, firmware validation, or hardware lifecycle management
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, virtualization, or large-scale distributed systems
- Previous software engineering or technical development experience
- Experience working closely with SRE, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or reliability engineering teams
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, dashboards, and program analytics
