Remote Tax Manager

Job Summary The Position As a Private Tax Solutions Tax Manager - Client Advisor, you will be the face of our tax services to our clients. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Remote Tax Manager to lead our tax compliance and planning initiatives. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to oversee complex tax strategies, ensure regulatory adherence, and support financial reporting processes from a remote setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in tax accounting, estate planning, and regulatory reporting, combined with excellent analysis skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. • Lead and coordinate comprehensive tax planning strategies, including estate planning and corporate tax structures, to optimize financial outcomes.
• Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax filings, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Perform detailed technical reviews and preparation of small business federal and state tax returns and review all related work papers.
• Accurately prepare quarterly and annual tax reports
• Assist with various tax consulting projects including federal tax planning, restructuring, controversy, and income tax accounting
• Maintain a working knowledge of new tax laws and industry trends
• Coach and develop Private Tax Solutions tax staff

Experience

• Proven experience in public accounting or corporate tax roles with a focus on tax experience spanning estate planning, tax accounting, or related fields.
• 2 to 5 years of experience reviewing 1040s, 1065s, and 1120-S tax returns
• Experience preparing returns for large partnerships and their K-1s
• Experience preparing Schedule E, Form 8825, Schedule L and M
• Experience calculating improvement basis for real estate acquisitions
• Experience preparing multiple state tax returns
• Experience with Form 3115 and 481(a) adjustments
• Experience navigating IRC Sec. 469
