[Remote] Systems Architect Design Consultant - Epic
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Seattle Children's is a leading pediatric hospital dedicated to providing superior care and advancing new discoveries in pediatric research. The Consultant Architect role focuses on managing and implementing complex application suites within the Epic environment, overseeing technical issues, and guiding teams of architects and consultants.
Responsibilities
- Focuses on Epic environment management and upgrades
- Effective resolution of technical issues with Epic delivery
- Assists with Epic technical tasks such as interfaces, batch jobs, change management, and other Epic-focused tasks
- Oversee and guide the implementation and support of multifaceted application portfolios
- Guide and support teams of other senior architects, systems consultants and systems analysts
- Serve as a learned counsel and advisor to IS leadership in matters of system design and architecture
- Lead a team of architects
- Develop solutions that best align Children's business requirements with the functionality and constraints of off-the-shelf software and related technology solutions
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of seven (7) years experience and working knowledge of software development and implementation life cycle processes in an enterprise IT environment, to include: 3-5 years experience and knowledge of project management practices, including project planning and risk/issue management
- Experience in application integration technologies
- Epic certified in modules supported or receive certification within 6 months from employment
