[Remote] Supervisory Software Project Manager - Homeland Security
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Team Carney, Inc. supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with their mission-critical program. They are seeking a Supervisory Software Project Manager to lead a technical team in upgrading and modernizing a web application that ensures national border security agents can operate safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Drive Software Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end planning, execution, and deployment of updates and enhancements to the critical tracking and reporting web portal
- Agile Orchestration: Facilitate sprints, backlog refinement, standups, and retrospective reviews for the software development team
- Mitigate Risk: Identify software-specific project risks, security vulnerabilities, and deployment hurdles, designing swift, effective mitigation plans
- Client Alignment: Align technical roadmaps with CBP/AMO strategic objectives, providing regular updates to the software technical lead and stakeholders
Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of software development program or software project management experience
- Deep expertise in Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps frameworks, with proficiency in tracking tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background suitability check
- Bachelor's degree preferred
