[Remote] Strategic Inventory Analyst

The Strategic Inventory Specialist will develop and implement strategies for inventory control, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing overstock and shortages.
Responsibilities
- Data Integrity: Maintain accurate item records and planning parameters contributing to long-term supply chain objectives
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with procurement, operations, and planning teams to prevent stockouts and maintain ideal inventory levels
- Strategic Stocking: Develop and implement stocking strategies to guarantee timely availability of materials for customer demand
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock and reduce excess inventory
- Data Analysis: Analyze material usage trends and forecast future material requirements through several sites
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance material flow between warehouse sites
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on material status, inventory levels and supply chain performance
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all purchasing activities
Skills
- Associate degree
- 3 + years of experience in material planning and purchasing
- 1+ year of data analysis (Microsoft Excel, PowerBI)
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time (domestic and international)
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, or business administration
- Master's degree in supply chain management
- Certification in APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) or similar
- Proficiency in material planning software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE
- Experience in material planning, purchasing or inventory management in a manufacturing, warehouse or distribution environment
- Experience with international sourcing and procurement
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- English communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
