[Remote] Staff Back End Engineer, Trading
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Altruist is transforming the multi-trillion dollar wealth management industry by building an AI platform for wealth professionals. They are seeking a Staff Back End Engineer to join their Trading team, responsible for mentoring engineers, solving complex problems, and building scalable applications.
Responsibilities
- Act as a leader and steward of engineering best practices, helping to mentor other engineers and develop impactful solutions
- Analyze and solve complex problems spanning multiple user personas and workflows
- Focus on building and scaling services and user facing web applications
- Build customer centric scalable and performant applications and features
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT processes
- Build new data integrations based on established requirements
- Perform data analysis to investigate and resolve data issues
Skills
- 8+ years of software engineering experience building precise and scalable distributed systems with best engineering practices
- 2+ years of recent experience building low latency trading systems at scale
- Ideally looking for a B.A. / B.S. degree in relevant fields such as Computer Science or similar Engineering/Mathematics degrees
- You're technologically savvy and can easily get up to speed on modern tech stacks (Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, Postgres, Kubernetes)
