Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Software Engineer – Backend to work on complex backend engineering tasks. The role involves reviewing model-generated code, identifying bugs, and applying engineering judgment to backend scenarios.
Responsibilities
- Complete and evaluate complex backend engineering tasks using coding agents
- Review model-generated code for correctness, quality, maintainability, and performance
- Identify bugs, edge cases, and failure modes in generated outputs
- Compare outputs from multiple models and assess strengths and weaknesses
- Apply engineering judgment to real-world backend engineering scenarios
Skills
- Strong experience in backend engineering
- Strong experience building APIs, distributed systems, microservices, backend platforms, or databases
- Strong experience using coding agents and developer productivity tools
- Ability to evaluate model-generated code and identify bugs, edge cases, and architectural tradeoffs
- Strong experience working on large-scale production systems
