[Remote] Senior Staff Accountant - Accounting, Finance, and Payroll - Full time
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Aspen Valley Health is a community hospital known for its warm environment and technical expertise. They are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant responsible for managing monthly journal entries, payroll preparation, and various financial filings.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for monthly journal entries and annual filing, such as 990 Tax Return, Cost Report, Workers Compensation Audit, 1099 Forms and Unclaimed Property
- Responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll and timekeeping systems
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in an accounting or finance related field, or equivalent education
- At least 3 years of accounting and/or payroll experience
- Strong understanding of accounting theories, practices and GAAP
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including functions, formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, data visualization, and automation using macros and VBA
- Master's degree in an accounting or finance-related field preferred
- Experience with accounting or finance in a hospital or healthcare system preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
