[Remote] Senior Project Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. NScale is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Global Controls, to lead the planning, governance, and delivery of multiple controls-related projects across EMEA, APAC, and the United States. This role is responsible for orchestrating complex, cross-functional workstreams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with clear executive visibility.
Responsibilities
- Own a portfolio of concurrent controls-related projects and workstreams across multiple regions, maintaining clear scope, priorities, milestones, and delivery accountability
- Build and maintain integrated project plans, master schedules, RAID logs, meeting cadences, and action trackers that provide transparency across engineering, construction, and operations stakeholders
- Coordinate closely with Controls Engineers, SCADA and OT Network SMEs, site teams, vendors, OEMs, commissioning teams, and regional partners to drive alignment and resolve blockers quickly
- Lead project governance activities including status reporting, executive updates, change control, budget tracking, issue escalation, and decision documentation
- Drive consistency across global delivery by establishing repeatable project management templates, runbooks, dashboards, and communication rhythms for controls programs
- Support readiness reviews for FAT, SAT, commissioning, turnover, and operational handoff, ensuring dependencies and deliverables are visible and actively managed
- Track risks, commercial impacts, schedule pressures, and cross-functional interdependencies, and proactively escalate issues with practical recovery recommendations
- Apply a continuous-improvement mindset to strengthen workflows, improve reporting quality, and streamline coordination across EMEA, APAC, and U.S.-based teams
Skills
- 10+ years of project or program management experience supporting technical infrastructure, data center, construction, energy, or similarly complex cross-functional programs
- Demonstrated success managing global or multi-region initiatives with distributed stakeholders and multiple concurrent priorities
- Strong command of project governance disciplines including scheduling, stakeholder communication, risk management, change management, issue tracking, and executive reporting
- Experience building and maintaining structured project documentation such as trackers, status dashboards, runbooks, meeting notes, and decision logs
- Ability to work effectively across time zones and drive alignment among engineering, operations, construction, and external partner teams
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- PMP certification
- Lean, Six Sigma, or other process-improvement training
- Experience supporting controls, BMS, EPMS, SCADA, commissioning, or other mission-critical systems programs
- Data center construction or technical infrastructure delivery experience
- Experience creating digital reporting environments, SharePoint-based collaboration spaces, or similar project information hubs
