[Remote] Senior Marketing and Public Relations Specialist
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Horowitz Agency is a strategy-first integrated marketing and PR firm working with boutique and mid-size professional services firms. They are seeking an experienced Senior Marketing and PR Specialist to manage client relationships and drive results across a portfolio of clients, while also mentoring junior staff and contributing to account growth.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to-day lead on a portfolio of client accounts, building trusted relationships and acting as a strategic advisor on their PR and marketing goals
- Develop and execute integrated PR strategies for media relations, thought leadership, content, and award/ranking submissions that align with each client’s business objectives
- Pitch and secure earned media coverage in top-tier national, trade, and legal/entertainment publications; maintain and grow relationships with journalists and editors
- Draft and edit press materials, bylined articles, talking points, messaging documents, and client-facing strategy recommendations
- Manage campaign execution and timelines, coordinating internal resources and keeping clients informed and confident
- Mentor and guide junior team members’ work, providing feedback and direction with the opportunity to formally manage staff as the role grows
- Contribute to account growth by identifying opportunities to expand and deepen client engagements
- Track, measure, and report on campaign results, translating coverage and outcomes into clear value for clients
Skills
- 5–7 years of experience in public relations, communications, or integrated marketing—agency or law firm experience strongly preferred
- A track record of securing meaningful earned media and managing client relationships independently
- Existing media relationships and the instincts to build new ones quickly
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt voice across clients and formats
- Some experience guiding, mentoring, or managing others and genuine interest in growing into a people-management role
- Working knowledge of websites and social media
- Strong judgment and professionalism in working with sophisticated clients such as attorneys, executives, and entertainment professionals
- Self-direction and organization to thrive in a remote, fast-moving, client-service environment
- Bachelor's degree in PR, communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field or equivalent practical experience
- Experience serving law firms and financial/business-management firms
- Familiarity with legal or entertainment trade media
- Fluency with email campaign platforms
- Experience contributing to branding, positioning, or digital/SEO initiatives within an integrated agency
